Thank you for all your hard work. The school was a buz with happy teachers talking about projects, lessons, and new tech ideas. People were so thankful for this very useful afternoon. Let's debrief and plan for the next one. You are amazing teachers.
Thank you,
Ray
The time allocated for filming and basic editing with a flip was appropriate today. They are all starting new projects for the next meeting in November. My concern is that I will finish early next time, so should I introduce them to iMovie?
Our blog workshop members shared their hopes for a blog, ideas that will give their blogs focus and purpose. We heard inspiring plans to use blogs for opportunities to inform and share with families, for encouraging student discussion arising from classes or prompts, for showcasing student work, and for professional resources and collaboration. New and experienced bloggers then had time to peruse a variety of teacher blogs, think about and choose theme/layout, and write a new posts. Being together for this work was constructive, since we discussed questions on many levels and exposed each other to common endeavors or struggles. I’ll be available for assistance as bloggers need it, and I will canvass our group for focus points for our November meeting.
ReplyDeleteWe had a great group for our work with presentation possibilities--ppt, keynote, prezi???
ReplyDeleteHopefully, along with some nuts and bolts takaways included:
1.Great presentations support rather than replace great speakers.
2.Do some thinking in about the flow of the story you want to tell and let that guide your presentation.
3.Less is absolutely more-images, text, action.
Next session we'll be polishing things up. Watch out!
